Western Isles Family Diabetes Group

The Western Isles Family Diabetes Group has been set up in conjunction with Diabetes Scotland with the intention of offering support to families of children in the Western Isles living with Type 1 Diabetes. The group is run by a committee who either suffer from or have children with Type 1 Diabetes and therefore have a knowledge and understanding about coping with diabetes in day-to-day life.

The group aims to host fun events and meetings where children and their siblings along with family members, friends and carers, can meet up to provide support and information to others living with the same challenges they face.
